Jay Ahlemann, President and Managing Partner of JLA Media and Publications, LLC, purchased WAZT and the AZT Network of television stations from Dr. Arthur Stamler of Ruarch Associates, LLC on August 25, 2006.

Jay Ahlemann has been a pastor in Northern Virginia for over 30 years. Currently he is the founding pastor of The Church of the Valley,  an interdenominational church with congregations in Middletown and Winchester in Frederick County of Virginia, Capon Bridge

in Hampshire County, West Virginia, Lovettsville and Sterling in Loudoun County of Virginia.  “I am excited about the opportunity we have to bring wholesome, family entertainment and Christian programming to the Valley through over-the-air broadcasting and cable,” said Ahlemann. “We will continue to place a strong emphasis on locally produced programs as well as a variety of syndicated programs in our weekly broadcast schedule.”

Jay is also the host of, Return to Righteousness, a weekly half-hour program that focuses on current events from a conservative, Judeo-Christian perspective.  Return to Righteousness can be seen four times a week: Monday nights at 8:30PM, Wednesday mornings at 8:30AM, Sunday mornings at 7:30AM and Sunday nights at 8:30PM.

WAZT is a member of the Virginia Association of Broadcasters and the National Religious Broadcasters.

General Manager, Ron Croom began his broadcasting career at WAZT in October of 1986 as a Sales Representative.  Ron has served WAZT as news producer, commercial producer, videographer, program director, sales manager, web manager and assistant general manager.  When asked about the future, Ron replies with excitement saying, "We're all about the Valley...the churches...

the families...the communities!  People will continue to watch family friendly Valley TV and we'll be here watching right along with them."

Mitzi Wilkins Jones, Assistant General Manager, came to WAZT in the beginning (1985).  Her titles have also included Traffic Manager, Office Manager and Accountant.  Her abilities go beyond these titles as she has always been a vital part of the general operation with experience in programming and production.  Mitzi maintains a "we'll make it happen" team attitude that is so vital to a small organization.

Founders

WAZT and the AZ Television Network are the result of a dream and a calling of Dr. Arthur Stamler and Mrs. Virginia Stamler in 1982.  W10AZ began telecasting in 1985 with a single television station in Woodstock.  The Network has now grown to six television stations serving the northern and central

Shenandoah Valley region and beyond.  The dream and the calling continues in those mentored by the Stamlers for more than 20 years.

WAZT/AZTV Network Mission Statement
We, the owners and managers of WAZT TV, operational under license from God the Father Almighty, to carry His Sacred Word to the Shenandoah Valley and beyond, do pledge to provide our viewers with broadcasts which inform, educate, entertain and bring spiritual enrichment with the power of the Holy Spirit and by the Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pledge never to defame, denigrate or denounce the WORD OF GOD or allow others to use our facilities for any such purpose. And we do pledge to continually renew our commitment to honor God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This we promise!
